What We Believe

The Scriptures – The Bible is the Living Word of the Living God. The Bible is the result of what the men of God who lived in old time spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. We accept the New Covenant as it is written in the New Testament as our infallible guide in Christ both in doctrine and in practical life (Luke 22:19-20, 2 Tim. 3:16, 1 Thess. 2:13, 2 Pet. 1:21).

God – Our God is one, manifesting Himself in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:21-22). Father is the Sender of the Word (John 16:28). Son is the Word which became flesh (Phil. 2:6-7). He is the only begotten Son and He has been with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning (John 1:1, John 1:14, John 1:18). Holy Spirit has been sent by the Father and the Son (John 15:26, John 16:7). The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one God, the trinity, and they are eternal.

Man, the Fall and the Redemption – Man is created in the image of God and after His likeness (Gen. 1:26-27). The spirit, soul and body. Sin came into the world through the fall of Adam and Eve, and man lost the glory of God. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Savior of all people. He has redeemed us from our sins.He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil and He gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14, Rom. 3:10, Rom. 3:23, 1 John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God, not based on the law and own works. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is the work of God. When a man gets saved in Christ, he gets back the glory that he lost in the Fall of Man, (John 17:22, 23). Man was created for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Eph. 2:8-10).

Salvation, Eternal life and Heaven – Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that produces repentance. Salvation which means that a person is born again is necessary to all men, and when you experience that, it will produce eternal life (2 Cor. 7:10, 1 John 5:12, John 3:3-5). Heaven is a real dwelling place, prepared for all who believe in Christ (John 14:2-3, 1 Thess. 4:17, Rev. 7:9).

Water baptism – Baptism in water by immersion is our Lord’s direct commandment and it is only for believers. In baptism a Christian identifies himself with Christ and His death, burial and resurrection (Matt. 28:19, Rom. 6:4, Col. 2:12, Acts 8:36-39). Following formula is commonly used in baptism: “Through the confession of your faith, that Jesus Christ is the Lord and the Son of God, and through the authority of the Word,  I will baptise you into Jesus Christ in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Baptism in the Holy Spirit – The baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire is the gift that the Lord Jesus Christ promised to all believers and you can receive it once you have been born again. First sign of this experience is to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance. (Matt. 3:11, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:9, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 19:1-7, Acts 2:4).

Sanctification – A born again person is a new creation. This takes place in man’s spirit. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17) Old man has passed away and new man has been born. This is a new state of being of man’s spirit. A born again person is no longer sinner but righteous. That which was born from the Holy One is holy. A born again person is complete in Christ. “Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus” (Col. 1:28). Nevertheless, a born again person is not faultless. He will grow in character, and in his relationship with Christ and other people. The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in pure and holy life as definite, yet progressive work of grace. Sanctification starts in salvation and continues until the coming of Christ (Heb. 12:14, 1 Thess. 5:23, 2 Pet. 3:18, Phil. 3:12-14, 1 Cor. 1:30).

Divine Healing – Jesus Christ, the Son of God is the Healer of the sick. Healing for the physical sicknesses of the body. The soul will also be set free when the body is healed. It  is offered by the power of God through the prayer of faith and laying on hands. Healing is offered in the reconciliation offering of Christ. Jesus carried our sicknesses in His body on the cross of Galvary and by His stripes we are healed. Health and wellbeing of man’s spirit, soul and body belongs to all people. When you are born again you will became a child of God and you will receive a new body in the resurrection. Then there will be no more sicknesses and death.  (Mark 16:18, James 5:14-15, 1 Pet. 2:24, Matt. 8:17, Isa. 53:4-5).

Resurrection of the Righteous and the Return of our Lord – Angels said to Jesus’ disciples: ”This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). His return will happen soon.  When He´ll come: ”and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thess. 4:16-17). After great tribulation He will return to earth as the King of kings and the Lord of lords, together with His saints, who will be kings and priests. He will rule for a thousand years (Rev. 20:6).

Hell and Eternal Damnation – Damnation which is eternal separation from God is real. The one who dies physically in his sins and has not received Jesus is hopelessly and eternally lost into the lake of fire. Therefore he has no longer opportunity to hear the gospel nor repent. Fiery lake is literal. Term ”eternal/ everlasting” which is used to describe the duration of the punishment, means the same conception of eternal existence than when referred to the duration of the joy and ecstatic delight of the saints in the presence of the Lord. (Mark 16:16, Heb. 9:27, Rev 19:20).
